The mosaics on display at Sol.O.Arte are the individual works of the artist Minerva Valdez.  Each piece of art is a unique, one of a kind creation from the hands of the artist.  Just as no two tiles break exactly the same, no two mosaics are exactly the same. Each artwork contains tile pieces broken and re-broken by Minerva to achieve a variety of shapes and sizes, these pieces are individually selected by the artist for their particular shape and size and are then hand set and re-positioned to fit into the special pattern as seen by the eye of Minerva.  There placement is not random, but rather is a carefully thought out image.  Much care is taken to assure that each artwork is unique and beautiful.  Hand grouting and staining complete the process, all done by the artist herself.  We invite you to view our gallery and find that special artwork that is as unique as you are.  Enjoy!
